Michael Landon

I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie and every week my brother and I would cry and laugh along with the Ingalls family. Now I have 2 children of my own and we watch Little House on the Prairie together. I was taught so much through that show; in the world we live in today it seems like a breath of fresh air. Michael was an amazing, talented man and had the most infectious laugh ever! Michael will live on forever through his work and the way it has touched so many people's lives. God bless you.

Michael Landon's legacy lives on through his timeless ability to portray to an audience the values and lessons that truly mean something. In a world that has become filled with indifference and a lack of ‘neighborly kindness’, it is difficult for me, as a parent, to instill those values in my children. The availability of the Little House series on DVD has enabled me to present those values nightly as we watch the show during family time. My two girls and I treasure the time that we spend together watching the episodes together. It has become quite an obsession for me to buy all of the sets so that we can immerse ourselves with the Ingalls. After each episode, we talk about the lesson learned. Little House was one of my favorite shows as a little girl but, as an adult, I have found that it is even dearer to my heart. Thanks, Michael, for leaving this legacy for me and my children.

Michael Landon was a wonderful actor and he was great in every part he played. I love all the shows he was in. As Little Joe he was fun, adventuresome and mischievous but always kind-hearted. On Little House he showed how a husband and father are always there for his family. On Highway to Heaven Michael showed us that there are people out there willing to help others. He will live on in his TV shows and in our hearts and minds forever.

Michael Landon was the best actor I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Little House on the Prairie is one of my all time favorite shows. I try not to miss one episode. It is one of the few shows that can be watched without having to make my young children leave the room. I can’t tell you how it affected me when I learned about Michael Landon’s death as a matter of fact I was planning on naming my son Landon but due to other circumstances it didn’t work out that way. But I still watch his shows and try to look up information about him on the computer. I home school my 2 youngest children and we are reading about Little House.
