Michael Landon is truly one of my greatest heroes, and he is the type of man that I strive hard to be, in the way that I care for and treat other people. He was, is, and always will be one of the greatest people this world has ever known.

I have been a Michael Landon fan ever since I first saw him on Bonanza, I have always wanted to meet him. You could say the biggest dream I had was going to California and meeting Michael Landon. That was one thing that was on my mind that I could not shake. Days and nights go by, like the time on a clock. And some days I'm not sure why I feel the way I do, but it’s always on my mind and in my heart. I think of Michael Landon and I feel sad I never got to meet him. Some days it’s hard to get through the days, and the nights. I have all the books I can find on him, and want to hear more about him or find more books on him. I do keep rereading them, because when I read them I feel his presence.

I remember I found out he was going to be on the Tonight Show and that’s when I heard about it. I was shocked and heartbroken. I still can’t take or handle that he’s you know. If I say it or think it I start to cry. But I guess as long as Bonanza, Little House, and Highway to Heaven and the other shows he’s on still get shown he will always be around.

Well I just thought you should know, that a broken heart like mine is not to shine, for the loss is so great at times that it’s hard to pass through time. Even though I do cry, it’s not the loss but the never having met that’s not fine. But I will still look toward the stars, in hopes that someday I will meet him. To heaven I will go in hopes to see his shining face sometime.

Michael Landon was the only actor that could have me laughing one second and teary-eyed the next. His laugh was contagious as well as his acting. His kindness showed in his acting. He was truly one of a kind. I wish I could've met him and someday hope to because I know he took the highway to heaven.
