I want to say how much Michael Landon is, again today, important in my life and how I think about him day after day.
I can remember all those days when my father and I watched Little House on the Prairie or Highway to Heaven and all the wonderful moments we shared together. Michael was nearly like a member of our family.
When my father was in the hospital, a few days before he died, he told me "I’m seeing Jonathan and Mark on the wall of my room." He was so present in our lives.
Today I am a writer and I can say sincerely he is my inspiration. My English is too bad for me to explain how much he means to me. He is an example, a friend even if I never met him, an angel. Without him and all his beautiful stories that I grew up on, I don't know if I would have found a way to write. I don't know if I could appreciate life like I do. So, thank you so much Michael. Thank you for this part of paradise you gave to us.

Michael was a great actor and a great person. I wish I had met him. I came real close to meeting him one time but just missed him. In my opinion, the shows that he worked on rank in this order: Little House on the Prairie (No. 1), Highway to Heaven (No. 2) and Bonanza (No. 3). The thing I liked about Little House is summed up in the episode "Harvest of Friends". Charles Ingalls is racing against time to stock some bags despite having been injured early in the day. If he doesn't get it done by the end of the day, he loses his oxen as part of a deal he made with a guy, who would not cut him some slack and finish the job later. In the process, he falls to the ground. Laura and Mary follow him and comfort him and then start to stack the bags themselves. After seeing what was going on, every man in town stops what they were doing and start stacking the bags for Charles and the girls. The job gets done on time and Charles gets his oxen back. In the end, Laura, narrating, says that Charles planted a crop that he didn't expect to and was more valuable - "A Harvest of Friends". It reminds me of the community I live in. Recently a father and a daughter from our community came down with cancer both at the same time. The community rallied behind them. Anyway, all three of Michael Landon's shows expressed good values. He has not died. He lives on in reruns. Little House is being shown three to four times a day on the Hallmark Channel as well as other channels. And Bonanza airs on TV Land. And the entire Little House series as well as three seasons of Highway to Heaven are available on DVD. I believe he is an angel nowadays, just like the character he played on Highway to Heaven.
