Michael Landon

What Michael means to me….

The above sounds corny, but it's the truth!

How fitting to talk of this on the anniversary of Michael's 70th birthday. What can I say except that Michael has been through it with me all and I often say the Cartwrights and Bonanza were my one stability in my life when things seemed upside down.

Whether it be Bonanza, Little House, Highway to Heaven or one of Michael's earlier movies, I never tired of watching him. He always gave me hope and I considered him then, as I do now, my angel. He believed and lived family and was unafraid to advocate for wholesome television and that is something that I will always treasure.

He left us too soon and I often wonder what the industry would have been like if Michael were still with us but I know that he is here watching over us. I thank him every day for leading me to all of these wonderful, kind hearted and loving people, I've met and developed friendships with on these sites.

So I'll say it again, Michael is my angel and his presence is with me because he continues to do what he's always done best. He continues to encourage people to love each other and come together in friendship!

God bless you Michael Landon!

I first discovered Michael Landon on Little House on the Prairie and his portrayal of a firm but loving father on that show won him a special place in my heart. Watching the great father-daughter relationship between Pa and his daughters, especially Half-Pint, on Little House each week showed me what a great father should be and it also helped fill the void I felt as a little girl growing up without a father. Michael and his shows made a real difference in my life and that is why no matter how much time passes I will never forget him.

I never met Michael although I wish I had. We share the same birthday. I watch him all the time on Little House on the Prairie and watched him on Bonanza. He was very special to me because he acted with his heart and sincerity. I hope I meet him in Heaven someday. My Mother who passed away loved Michael Landon.
