I live in London and at the age of 10 I used to rush home from school every Thursday in time to watch Little House on the Prairie. I am now 42 and remember it so well. I always dreamed of having a father like him. Why do the good always die young?

I grew up in the time when Little House was on the air. I always identified with Half-Pint, as we are about the same age and looked a lot alike back then. The only difference being that she got to have Michael Landon as her "Pa".
I always looked at Michael's character in Little House as the perfect dad, the kind of dad I wanted to have. Not a perfect person, but the perfect dad. He was human, he was wrong sometimes and made mistakes, but he always learned and did the right thing and showed all the love in the world for his family and friends. That's what Michael's work gave to me. He was my TV dad when my own father couldn't be what I needed him to be.
I still get so much from watching the old Little House and Highway to Heaven reruns. His work is timeless. Thank you, Michael.

I am a 33 year old woman from Pennsylvania who grew up watching Michael Landon on Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Highway to Heaven. I still watch Little House and catch episodes of Bonanza when visiting my parents. I loved watching him as an actor because he really portrayed the character he played very well and he made you feel like you were there, especially on Little House.

Little House is my favorite show and has given me so much happiness!!! I love the family values, the cast, and the countryside. Why don't they make shows like that anymore?
