My name is Astrid, I’m 39 years old, and live with my family in a small village in Austria.

I never knew Michael Landon personally, but his television shows (which I associate him with) were three of the best programs throughout television history. The TV series Little House on the Prairie especially means a lot to me. This series has been part of my life and my love.

You always can recognize how much honesty, respect, courage, love and laughter Michael Landon put into his work.

Michael’s legacy will be always remembered through his great television shows. Every day, I can, I watch Little House on the Prairie, Highway to Heaven or Bonanza. Just seeing Michael's smile and hearing his jokes and laughter is so soothing.

I know you, the family, must miss him terribly. He left us too young.

I thought Michael was a true genius of his time. His shows, especially Little House, were so inspiring and touching (always had to have a box of Kleenex around for those!). I'm sorry to hear that Michael's childhood wasn't as great as it was on Little House. I really wish Michael was still with us. Maybe he could produce something beautiful on TV for families to watch today amidst all the garbage.

To the family of Michael Landon,

I have been a Little House fan for as long as I can remember. I couldn’t sit through one episode without tears. 'Charles' would always know just what to say to make everything okay. His smile was beautiful and his spirit almost unreal. Not knowing much about his 'real life' self I can only imagine the lessons he taught so many people.

Sometimes I just sit and look through photo after photo - that smile will always remain a treasured memory.

Bless you all and I know we will all, as fans, keep Michael's spirit alive.
