Michael Landon

I never met Michael Landon, but I wish I'd have had the chance. Of course, I was only 4 in '91, so I likely wouldn't have remembered it anyway. I remember watching Michael on Bonanza several years ago, but I really noticed him in his role on Little House. Pa Ingalls is probably my favorite television character of all time. I just got into Little House a couple of years ago, but I have already become a huge fan. This show got me through some tough times last year, and I love it to death. I'm currently working on getting the seasons and the movies. I know that it was Michael's sheer genius and genuine care for the show and its actors that let it be so successful. I'd go so far as to say forget modern TV, just give me Little House and I'll be happy. Michael seemed like a great person, and I hope I get to meet him someday when I pass on, I hope. Thanks to Michael Landon for all his work. He truly was a class act.

Michael, you meant and mean so much to me.

I've grown up watching Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven (which I still watch regularly). Through these series you taught me love and the way to happiness.

I was 11 when you left us, too early for me, but I feel that in fact, you never left me. Your presence is still among us. As you wanted, I'll do everything to remember you with smiles and laughter, even if sometimes it's really difficult. I miss you so much! There isn't a minute in which I don't think of you. Although we could never meet personally, I hope we'll meet soon in the other life. You're everything to me, my life, my shiniest star.

Michael, thank you for what you've done. I'll love you forever.

Michael Landon was the epitome of what a father should be. Although I enjoyed him as Little Joe on Bonanza as well as Jonathan on Highway to Heaven, it was his portrayal of Charles Ingalls that will stay with me. I used to watch the show every week with my grandma whom I loved very much. The way that he loved God, loved his family...he showed that a man can be strong through being gentle. He showed us morals and integrity, and I will cherish the memories of his artistry always.
