I grew up watching Bonanza. Right from the start, Michael was my favorite. I was riveted to the television from the opening note of the theme song to the end of the credits. I am left-handed so I felt a real closeness to Michael even though I never met him. I always thought that if Michael could do something then so could I. Then Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven came along and I was again hooked. All 3 shows became our family's favorites.

When my son was born on October 28, 1977, he was named Landon Joseph after Michael's Bonanza character. This was my way of paying tribute to a wonderful, kind and gentle man.

Today I still watch re-runs of all the shows. All the episodes are very touching and thought-provoking. Michael's way of acting makes you feel as if you are right there beside him. I also just finished reading Cheryl's book, I Promised My Dad. It is a wonderful and inspiring look at Michael's life. Congratulations on a job well done!

Michael provided inspiration in all his work....and his work was all about unconditional love. I became a fan of his when I was 6 years old and he was "Little Joe".....He had a brilliant smile!

I made a contribution in Michael’s memory and honor to a nonprofit organization called The Love Foundation, Inc. for their global efforts to inspire others to love unconditionally.

When I was younger and Bonanza first came out, I was drawn to Michael Landon's obvious good looks. As I've gotten older now and I watch the reruns of Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie, I appreciate Michael's directing ability. I can be watching an episode now and know if Michael directed it or not.

Michael was visionary. He wasn't afraid to try things that were new or taboo. We were all blessed to know him and be part of the legacy that he left us.
