Mr. Landon meant a lot to a kid that grew up without a father, watching Little House was a gift that took me to a place away from loneliness. Only a child that had the same could understand. I believe Mr. Landon did. I met his wife this past year in Malibu. Someone from a neighbor’s party the night before had ruined some flowers outside the big wooden gates of the beautiful orange red roof and the orange yellowish almost peach colored walls of a very humble abode. I thanked her for her kindness and she told me Mr. Landon would have done the same. He many times had come outside the gates to meet his fans and was always grateful for their love. I told her how I had written to him when I was 9 and he wrote me back and gave me an autographed picture of himself. I still have it today and I am in my early 30's. I had been to his mausoleum, you would not believe the gifts people leave him, and they lock the door so the family can pick up the gifts so no one takes them. She told me where his star is on Vine Street, which is fitting in my book, the most famous street for the best man in Hollywood. Thanks for the memories and love Mr. Landon and thank you Mrs. Landon for your kindness and one more memory.
Love to all,

Michael Landon had many gifts and one of those was the shows that he created and produced and the storylines in the TV shows. I just recently viewed seasons 1-3 of Highway to Heaven, and by watching them, you sure get to know Michael very well, even though it was a programme, you could see and know who he was and the attributes within the man himself.
He left behind many treasures, and made many masterpieces, like Little House and Highway to Heaven. Inside he was an angel himself that had principles and other things he wanted to impart in his shows and acting career.
He cared for the unknown and the known, and by his smile you knew he was full of charity and love. There are many actors who have gone and left this world, but there is one that all should know…Michael himself. Thank you Michael for the shows that you gave us that have touched us like an angel, in some way, whether small or big.
Rest in peace my friend and remember you will always be remembered by family and friends, and fans who you have given so much with your love and devotion.
