Michael is a legend that will never be forgotten. Me as a man at the age of 35 have grown up on Michael’s roles in Little House and Highway to Heaven. To me he is an inspiration to myself and my family. My 3 children watch his TV shows. The characters he played are of people with good morals and beliefs, characters that are rarely seen in today’s TV shows or movies. The passing of Michael has been a loss to me and the rest of the world that should never be forgotten. Michael, enjoy all the fruits of heaven that you so much deserve.

Michael Landon as an actor was so important to me as a child. I grew up watching him on Bonanza, but most importantly on Little House. His character portrayed what a loving and caring father should be. His character also set a standard of responsibility in a father, that his family came first and he was always willing to sacrifice for them. You could see the love and care that Michael put into every episode and what he wanted the show to stand for. TV today cannot remotely measure up to the quality of these shows. We own the series on DVD and my children watch them over and over. His legacy still lives on for the future generations. I have read many things about his life and I know the struggles that he overcame. His family was always first in life as well as his characters. He left his mark on the world and we are all better for it.

You've been gone now for 16 years today, still can’t believe you’re no longer here. I will always remember you with a smile...but with sadness in my heart. I still watch your programmes with so much joy, there isn't many shows out there with your strong sense of compassion, love and morality...such a shame you were taken away.

I have just watched an episode of Little House on the Prairie and have enjoyed the memories of a simpler time in my childhood when the family would all sit and watch this programme. I wanted to share with Michael's family that I believe he has left for generations to come stories of what is good, kind and right. God bless.
