When I was a child there was one television programme for me above all others.

That programme was Little House on the Prairie. My mum and I would drive home from my school in eager anticipation and pray we did not get stuck in traffic and miss the 4:20 p.m. start time on a Monday.

I so loved Michael Landon. He was a wonderful actor and an inspiration to us all. Little House taught me many of my values in life - I loved how each episode was filled with real family values but above all LOVE.

Many many years later when the series was repeated here in the UK on Channel 4 my Sunday mornings ground to a halt until I had watched that week’s episode. Sometimes Channel 4 will re-run episodes in the summer holidays but they are never back to back and I find that frustrating. Why mess with perfection?

I have missed Michael Landon greatly over the years and in one way I am glad he did not make it to 70 because, like Marilyn Monroe, he is eternally young, strong and handsome in my mind and will always remain that way - perfection! Such a handsome man and such a waste of wonderful talent that he was taken from us so young.

God bless you all.

I was a sickly child, born with Cerebral Palsy. I had to undergo countless operations. I am 28 years old now and one of the most vivid memories that I cherish most about my childhood is watching Highway to Heaven and Little House on the Prairie with my Mom.

Mr. Landon sure had a way of helping you keep the faith. Even today I still watch Little House on the Prairie. My mom did right up until the day she walked her "Highway to Heaven." I lost my mom in April of 2006, so I know she's in Heaven with Mr. Landon now and she's telling him how much we sure did love his shows. I hope his family has found peace knowing that he is with the Lord and not sick from that terrible cancer anymore.

May God bless you all!
