I first saw Michael on Bonanza when I was about eight. I thought he was the greatest (and best looking) actor I'd ever seen. My opinion hasn't changed. I continued to watch whatever he was in from then on. I feel so sorry for Michael for the pain he went through and the years he's missed out on. We are left to wonder how the rest of Michael's life would have turned out if he'd been given the gift of old age. But Michael left us a gift - hundreds of hours of his work to enjoy. Whenever I'm feeling down, I only have to slip a tape in the VCR and things suddenly always start to look a lot better. I believe Michael made a difference in a lot of lives and he left the world a better place than he found it.

Grew up watching Little House, now in my 30's and I still watch. Try to get my kids to watch with me, each episode had such a wonderful message. What a great talent Michael was, still sad about his passing, I remember the day. Missing him.

Hoy, pasadas tres decadas, cuando yo vuelvo a ver los episodios algo magico sucede y me encuentro con maravillosos momentos de mi infancia. En mi pais LHOTP, tuvo mucho exito y hasta hoy todos lo recuerdan. Michael fue un gran escritor, un gran director y un excelente actor, pero lo mas admirable en el era su carisma, cualidad que lo hacia unico. Tuve mucha devocion por otras obras de Michael como Bonanza y Highway to Heaven, disfrute mucho de estas series tambien. Me recuerdo jugando cuando era un niño a ser "Little Joe". Agradezco a Michael por sus maravillosos trabajos, que tantas buenas enseñanzas sobre los valores familiares y morales han dejado en mi, especialmente con la serie LHOTP. Yo siempre lo recuerdo con mucho cariño y siento gran admiracion por Michael. Lo hecho mucho de menos.

In my country, the show was very successful and many people still remember it. Michael was a great writer, a great director, and an excellent actor, but the most admirable thing about him was his charisma, a quality that made him unique. I also appreciate Michael's other works and enjoyed Bonanza and Highway to Heaven very much. I remember pretending to be “Little Joe” when I was a child. Thank you Michael for your wonderful works, which left me with so many good life lessons about morals and family values, especially in the case of LHOTP. I always remember Michael with great affection and admiration. I miss him very much.
