Michele Greene
What I remember most about Michael Landon was his
amazing rapport with the crew on Highway to Heaven. Many of
them had worked with him for many years and he had been loyal to
them in a famously capricious business where relationships and
connections can be the difference between making a good living and
not for members of the crew. He clearly took care of them and earned
their confidence, support and loyalty. I was still a young actress
and did not know how rare that kind of loyalty and friendship is
among producers, stars and the below the line crew members. It is
with good reason he is remembered with such love and affection. He
was old school, gracious, kind and generous.
