I am honored to be asked to remember Michael Landon.

I have his picture in my office looking at me as I write. We are photographed together with a child who had been born with a birth defect. Michael was so compassionate about our work for children who had need. We worked several TV Telethons together and worked around the clock on these engagements. I never heard him complain about being tired or hungry. All he wanted was the best for the children less fortunate than our own.

He was warm and so giving. I miss him and his spirit of love.
